Largest Human Mattress Dominoes

On Sunday 16 august 2009, Guinness World Records™ official Pam Schoenhofer went to the Channel 9 studios in Sydney, Australia, to adjudicate a very strange feat, an attempt on the record for the most human mattress dominoes toppled.

Inspired by a YouTube video, the crew from Channel 9 worked for two weeks straight to bring this record alive on the Today Show. First they secured 80 mattresses from the Original Mattress Factory, then they had to find 80 brave people to participate in the mattress mania! Fortunately the Channel 9 folks are a resourceful bunch and they soon rounded up enough recruits. After two successful rehearsals and a lot of laughter the assembled human dominoes set a new Guinness World Records achievement for the most human mattress dominoes toppled with 80 people on 80 mattresses!
